Further new developments at the Aquincum Museum

Several new attractions have opened recently in the Aquincum Museum’s Archaeological Park, but the park’s worn-down fence is not worthy of a cultural institution. Hence it became necessary to replace it. We need a fence that is suitable for the modern, yet also fitting presentation of the nearly 2000-year-old remains.

Many of you may have walked past the Archaeological Park along the pavement of Szentendrei Road thinking that while the view was great, it was still not ideal. The Museum aims to change this and install a new fence that is visually-pleasing, informative and safe, providing an opportunity for a relaxed walk around the Museum and Archaeological Park.

And so we commissioned the winning team of our earlier design contest to draft a plan for a structure that will make a visit to Aquincum enjoyable and fascinating already on the “outside”.

We highly value your thoughts and opinions! Please let us know what you think about the new plans!
