POT WITH AN ASYMETRIC HANDLE
Szigetszentmiklós - Üdülősor

Another sight

This is a spherical pot with slightly extended rim and a cylindrical neck. On one side it has fishbone decoration and a handle attached to the rim under which there is a moustache-like decoration. On the other side there is a small handle with a similar decoration. The surface of the pot is covered with engraved patterns similar to the decoration of bell beakers. The form and the decoration of the pot represent the diverse relations in the era: besides the similarities with bell beakers, it reflects the effects of the Makó, Somogyvár and Nagyrév cultures, moreover the Aegean-Balkan cultures too.
