Samhain – Celtic Halloween 2025

Celtic Halloween at the BHM Aquincum Museum, 16:00-23:00, 31 October 2025

This year too, 31 October is all about the Celts in Aquincum! On the last Friday of the month, from 4 in the afternoon to 11 at night, the BHM Aquincum Museum (1031 Budapest, Szentendrei út 135.) invites everyone to a Celtic-inspired event.

The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme!

* To participate, visitors must buy arts & crafts tickets, which can be purchased at the ticket office no later than 1 hour before the end of the arts & crafts activity, or until stocks last. Arts & crafts tickets can be used no later than 30 minutes before the end of the activity, and cannot be refunded.

On the day of the event, the museum can be visited between 16:00 and 23:00.

Ticket prices
Adult: 3000 HUF/person 
Adult group (20+ people): 2500 HUF/person
Student/Pensioner: 1500 HUF/person
Student/Pensioner group (10+ people): 1300 HUF/person
Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children): 7500 HUF/family

During the event the usual discounts are not valid. The event can be visited free of charge by people with a Ukrainian passport or other documents proving their Ukrainian refugee status. The event can be further visited free of charge by journalists, people with disabilities and their companion (1 companion per person), visitors under the age of 6, visitors over the age of 70 and teachers accompanying school groups as well as tour guides accompanying tourist groups. Upon request, the eligibility for discounts must be verified at the venue.

In connection with the Our Budapest Programme, for cultural events organised by the BHM outside the day-to-day operations, Budapest secondary school students (students of secondary schools based in Budapest) can buy a discounted ticket at half the price of an adult ticket.

Free entry for visitors with a valid address card with a permanent address in District 3, upon registration at the entrance.

By taking part in the event, Visitors accept the Regulations.

Getting to the Aquincum Museum:

By public transportation:
Rail: Lines S76, Z72 Aquincum station.
HÉV suburban railway: Line H5, Kaszásdűlő and Aquincum stops.
Bus: Lines 34, 106 and 134, Záhony Street stop.

By bicycle:
The car park of the museum can only be accessed via the Záhony Street gate, which can be reached from the south via the cycle path of Szentendrei Road or Ángel Sanz Briz Road, and from the north from the cycle path of Sujtás Street or Gázgyár Street.

By car:
The car park of the museum can only be accessed via the Záhony Street gate. The number of spaces at the museum car park are limited. We recommend using the parking spaces reserved for visitors of the event at the car park of the Auchan supermarket opposite the museum.

The event is organised by the Budapest History Museum – Aquincum Museum and Archaeological Park, as part of the Autumn Festival of Museums.
