Round-table discussion

The Örökség Kultúrpolitikai Intézet (Heritage Cultural Policy Institute) held a round-table discussion entitled “Téglák közt lakó évszázadok” (“Centuries dwelling among bricks”) on the 10th of September at Palace De la Motte-Beer. The topic of the discussion was the protection of built heritage, which is a key priority of the Kulturális Örökség Napjai (Cultural Heritage Days) programme.

The ‘lost’ town wall of Aquincum

After over 120 years of excavations, this summer saw the discovery of the eastern wall of the Aquincum Civil Town. During the reconstruction of the Budapest-Esztergom railway rich finds – coins, pottery and the statuette of the god of forests – too have been unearthed.
