  • Museum classes are available Tuesday to Friday, upon prior request by e-mail at: regisztracio@aquincum.hu.
  • Due to the large number of museum classes, in case of an arrival 30 minutes or more after the beginning of the reserved session, we consider the registration to be lapsed.

  • Please book the guided tours at least 7 working days before the requested date.
  • Guided tours are available Tuesday to Friday, upon prior request by e-mail: regisztracio@aquincum.hu
  • Groups with over 30 members have to be split up. The fee for the guided tours is then determined on the basis of the number of participants in the split groups.
  • For guided tours on other days and in other languages please contact us at regisztracio@aquincum.hu.
  • For visitors with physical disabilities and wheelchair-using visitors, we offer guided tours on an accessible route from Tuesday to Friday upon prior booking at regisztracio@aquincum.hu. The tours are free of charge for visitors with physical disabilities and wheelchair-using visitors and 1 companion per person.
  • Upon prior booking, we offer Roman walking tours in Óbuda and tours of the Hercules villa and the Military Town amphitheatre. For more information contact us at regisztracio@aquincum.hu  
  • Please be advised that only Aquincum Museum staff and permit holders may give guided tours at the Aquincum Museum,  the Hercules villa and the Baths Museum.

Discounts

Adult single tickets purchased at the Castle Museum, Aquincum Museum or Kiscell Museum also include free admission to one of the other two museums or the Budapest Gallery within 30 days of purchase. The time of purchase can be verified using the receipt, so please do not discard it.

Our museum accepts ÉnBudapestem digital cards. Visitors with the card receive a 20% discount on the full price ticket.

All citizens:

  • Students with a valid student card from an EEA member state (without age restriction)

EEA citizens:

  • Students with a valid student card (without age restriction)
  • Visitors from the age of 6 until the age of 26
  • Visitors between the age of 62 and 70 or eligible for receipt of old-age pensions
  • (In case of families) maximum 2 adults accompanying at least 2 close relative children (under 18). The children (age 6-18) with a valid student card, can visit the museum with student tickets.

Free entry

All citizens:

  • People with a Ukrainian passport or other documents proving their Ukrainian refugee status
  • Children under the age of 6
  • Disabled visitors and 1 companion per disabled visitor
  • Visitors with a valid entry certificate issued by the Minister responsible for culture
  • Visitors with a permanent address in Óbuda-Békásmegyer (District 3 of Budapest)
  • Students from preschools and schools in Óbuda-Békásmegyer (District 3 of Budapest) and teachers accompanying them as a group
  • Teachers (non-tertiary) from schools in the EEA
  • Visitors under 26 and maximum 2 adult close relatives accompanying children under 18 on the last Saturday of the month. On account of events, in June and November 2023, the discount will be available on the penultimate Saturday of the given month (17 June and 18 November) 
  • All visitors on Hungarian national holidays (15 March, 20 August, 23 October)
  • All students and faculty of educational institutions with which the Budapest History Museum has a co-operation agreement regarding the inclusion of cultural heritage in the educational program of the institution
  • Holders of the following cards (if valid at the time of entry)
    • Friends of the Budapest History Museum (Castle Museum, Aquincum Museum, Municipal Gallery) card
    • Budapest Card (only at the Aquincum Museum, not the Hercules villa) [the Sziget Citypass by Budapest Card wristband/card is not valid at our museum]

    • Official tourist guide card holders only when arriving with a group
    • MIE (Hungarian Tourist Guides’ Association) member card

EEA citizens:

The various discounts cannot be combined.

Eligibility for discounts must in all cases be declared in advance and verified upon request. In case of cards without a photograph, the verification of identity is also required.

The above prices and discounts only apply to the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the museum. During events, separately-advertised admission fees and discounts apply.
