Barbarian Days 7-8 October 2023

Barbarian Days at the Aquincum Museum on 7-8 October 2023.

On 7-8 October, the Aquincum Museum’s archaeological park comes back to life once again. This time, however, it’s not the sandal-wearing elegant Roman citizens, but Barbarian tribes who set foot within the walls of the ancient Civil Town! Celts, Quadi, Sarmatians and Gepids set up their camps to present to you the history, colourful culture and customs of the peoples who settled in the Carpathian Basin before and after the Roman conquest. Living history demonstrations, arts & crafts workshops, and ancient craft demonstrations await visitors who wish to get a glimpse of the exciting world of the Barbarians.
